Under the Hood
Here’s what happens behind the scenes when you sell something.
📥 1. A customer places an order
Someone buys your product on Etsy, WooCommerce, or Shopify. The platform sends a webhook notification to Stockerly instantly.
⚙️ 2. Stockerly processes the event
We identify the products in the order, look up their SKU mappings across all your connected stores, and calculate the new inventory levels — including any bundles or kits that use those components.
📊 3. Inventory updates everywhere
Stockerly pushes the updated stock levels to every connected store. If a product is out of stock, listings are automatically deactivated on platforms that support it (like Etsy) to prevent overselling.
🔔 4. You get notified
Get alerts via email, Discord, Slack, Microsoft Teams, browser push, or webhooks. Choose what you want to hear about — new orders, low stock warnings, sync errors — and where.

Bundle & Kit Auto-Calculation
Sell a bundle that includes 3 different products? Stockerly knows. When any component sells — individually or as part of a bundle — every related listing updates automatically.
- Define bundles with any number of component products
- Available bundle quantity = lowest component stock
- Selling a bundle decrements every component across all stores
- Works across platforms — bundle on Etsy, components on WooCommerce

Smart Listing Management
Stockerly doesn’t just update numbers. On platforms like Etsy, when a product hits zero stock, Stockerly automatically deactivates the listing so customers can’t order something you don’t have.
When stock is replenished, the listing comes right back. Stockerly tracks which listings it deactivated versus ones you turned off yourself — so it never reactivates something you intentionally took down.
Need to override the automation? Lock any product with state_lock to prevent Stockerly from changing its listing state, no matter what the inventory level is.
Etsy Listing Lifecycle
- Active — Stock available, listing is live on Etsy
- Deactivated by Stockerly — Stock hit zero, listing taken down to prevent overselling
- Reactivated — Stock replenished, Stockerly brings the listing back
